Episode 38: Barkley, Hot or Not?

 

In this episode of Sports Babble with Myles and Quinn we continued our debate from last week on Saquon Barkley and Nick Chubb. We agreed that in no specific order 4 of the top 5 RB's in the NFL were Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Dalvin Cook and Alvin Kamara. The argument was if Nick Chubb or Saquon Barkley was the 5th guy. Quinn said Saquon was and Myles and Miles said Nick Chubb. Quinn mententioned different things including surveys, ranking lists and stats. Saquon barkley has the edge over Nick Chubb in the fact that Saquon is a rushing and receiving RB while Nick Chubb is primarily Rushing. Myles M argued that Nick Chubb lead in most rushing stats and he did that while having to split carries with Kareem Hunt. There was a lot of debate so you will have to watch the show for more info.

Episode 37: Free Agency

 

In this episode of Sports Babble with Myles and Quinn we talked about free-agency. We discussed our favorite and least favorite free-agency signings so far. Quinn really liked the Kenny Golladay signing, Myles really liked the Hunter Henry signing and Miles L agreed with us. During Miles L's section we started talking about the giants and Quinn brought up Saquon Barkley and things started to take a wrong turn. Quinn argued Barkley when healthy was easily a top 5 RB. Miles and Myle said he wasn't, on that topic the day you are seeing this post there will be a Sports Babble video about Saquon on the YouTube later today.

Episode 35: JJ Watt Signing (technical difficulties)

 

On this episode of Sports Babble with Myles and Quinn we talked about the signing of JJ Watt. JJ Watt was recently signed to the Arizona Cardinals for 2 years and 31 million dollars. We talked about the impact this has on the Cardinals becoming a playoff team. We also mention how the Cardinals are in one of the most competitive divisions in football. The NFC West has the Seahawks, 49ers and Rams. When all teams are fully healthy this is a very tough division.

Unfortunately we had some technical difficulties in the middle of the show... Noah's computer died which led to the recording pausing. Now there is a quick pause in the show. After that the vocals sounded a little bit low, as in we had low voices. Lucky for us it recording still saved.

This week on Sports Babble with Myles and Quinn we took a look at the upcoming Super Bowl. We all came upon the same thought, a huge factor will be how good the Buccaneers defense will play. One of the big factors of the NFC Championship was the Buccaneers  Defensive line. They recorded 5 sacks on Aaron Rodgers, this makes him get rid of the ball quickly which takes away a big part of his passing game which is the deep ball. It's going to be a great game and we are all very excited.

Episode 26: Kam”mojo” or Bust!?!?

 

This week on Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn we went over the NFL game that took place on Christmas day! The game was the Vikings against the Saints. These teams have had some very good matchups in the past and although this one wasn't that close, it is one we will remember for a long time. Yes you saw the thumbnail correct, Alvin Kamara scored 6 NFL touchdowns which ties the record for most touchdowns in a game. This was the main discussion for this episode... and we decided to call him "Alvin Kam"mojo". Thanks for tuning in and we will see you on Wednesday!

Episode 25: NFL Game Day Discussion

We were back this week with another episode of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn! This week we did a post-game AND a pre-game discussion. The games we discussed were the Patriots @ Dolphins (Which was the Pre-game) and the Chiefs @ Saints (Which was the Post-game). We started with the Chiefs game, we said that we thought overall it would be a close game considering both the Chiefs and the Saints have very strong teams. The Saints have a good defense, the Chiefs have a good offense. Our prediction for a close game was correct, the Chiefs ended up winning the game 32-29.

We followed by discussing the Patriots and Dolphins game. This game had already happened os we said how we thought it went, everyone had the same opinion... It wasn't a good game at all. This was very true, neither Cam Newton or Tua Tagovailoa threw for over 150 yards.

December Plan

Hello everyone and welcome back to the website! Unfortunately only 2 people posted their NFL picks last week so this week we are not going to do one this week. If you want us to continue to do them, Email with your thoughts.

 Okay, with that out of the way we wanted to give you guys a little bit of an idea of what we are planning on doing this week. Myles had the great idea for a new show, his idea was that we would go over every single division in the NFL, NFC & AFC. While doing this we would go over each team in that division and we would name one player from each team that we think has a shot at the hall of fame. For example if we were doing the NFC East, Quinn might say, "From the Giants I think Saquon Barkley will make the hall of fame." Then he would do so for every team in that division and Myles would do the same. Then we would do that for every single division in the NFL. 

We don't want you to have to sit through a 4 hour long Sports Babble episode so instead we will split our discussion into 1 episode per division. Each episode would be 10 minutes long and we would post 1 per day. The only downfall of this would be there would be no 2nd half of the show, so no Local Sports, Lanes Lowdown, or Trivia and Listener Questions.

Don't worry though we have that covered too. You know how I said one episode a day, well once every episode is posted we would post a normal episode that would include the second half of the show. This show's topic would be Quinn & Myles top 3 final picks for who they think will go to the hall of fame out of everyone they picked so far.

Episode 24: Spinning The NFL Team Wheel Pt.2

 

In this episode of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn we did a little throwback. Remember when we spun a wheel with every single NFL team and talked about the team we landed on? Well we decided to do that again, last time we landed on the packers and this time we got...…. the Washington Football Team!! We we're all pretty excited getting this, we knew that there was going to be a big argument over whether the giants or them would win the NFC East. Of course being Giant fans Quinn & Noah thought the Giants would win. Myles & Miles thought different though, they said Washington would win. Quinn argued the Giants have young talent and a very underrated defense. Myles & Miles said that Alex Smith was the better QB and would lead that team to the playoffs. After all the arguing no ones opinions really changed, we all are really excited to see who come out on top in this division. 

Pops Pretzel's aired for the 2nd time ever!!! Noah & Miles Continue to absolutely crush the second half of the show. Also Noah starts to bring back the difficult trivia questions.

Episode 23: Thanksgiving Football

 

Hello everyone, we're glad to have you back on the website and we hope you enjoy! I know you guys haven't had a update in a while, we are really trying to keep the website updates more consistent. Anyways we recorded Sports Babble last Thursday but due to technical difficulties we were not able to upload it until Sunday. Although it took a while the show is now up!

In this weeks episode we discussed the Thanksgiving football games and the NFC East as a division. The main argument about the NFC East was who was going to make the playoffs the Giants or Washington, Quinn said he thought the Giants had the best chance and both Myles and Miles said they thought Washington had the best chance. We also talked about the Lions and the Texans game. We talked about some of the players who made an impact on that game and where their role comes into play for their team in the long run.

We finally aired our newest Sports Babble Commercial, "Pops Pretzels"! We haven't made a new commercial in a long time and we decided that "Pops Pretzels" was a great decision. Miles Lane this week continued his mini series in which he discusses different players from different positions. This week he talked about running backs. Also in trivia Noah has started a losing streak in which one of us gets the answer right.

11/27/20 Update

 

Hey everyone! We apologize for not sticking to the schedule we posted on Monday. We unfortunately were not able to record, we had some technical difficulties with the online system we use so we were not able to record. We were also thinking of posting the picks results on Wednesday but we forgot to do that, which we extremely apologize for. Also a big bummer but we will not be giving away a car because unfortunately we had very few people fill out the form, hopefully you guys can make that change for next week. 

We are thinking about recording the show tomorrow and reviewing the thanksgiving games, so make sure to keep an eye out for that on our YouTube. This past weekend we could not find a time to record but then we thought we have thanksgiving break this week. Episode 22: MLB/ World Series

 

In Episode 22 of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn we switched it up a little bit and we decided to to an episode based of baseball. We invited special guest Camden on the show so he could share his thoughts on the subject. After recent news from our state governor we heard we can not have friends to our houses so until were clear we will be doing Sports Babble online, this way everyone stays safe. We switched the set-up a little bit and figured out how to have the online people have a camera so (as you can see from the thumbnail) Quinn in on one side and the caller that is speaking is on the other. 

We continue to have Miles Lane on with his Lanes lowdown section and he has started his own little mini series, the first time he took over that sections he talked about WR's and this time he talked about QB's so we will se what he does next week.

More about the main topic, we talked a little bit about our thoughts on the world series (LA wins 4-2), we talked about what team we were rooting for and we spoke about just anything else baseball related. Thanks for staying updated and we will see you soon!

NFL Picks And Results (Quick Fantasy Update)

 

The week 9 picks went great! We were originally planning on giving away a car this week but we realized we did not advertise the picks enough. Instead we will wait until next Wednesday to give away a car, this way we have a week in advance to advertise. Episode 21: Overrated Players

 

Episode 21 of Sports Babble is out! We started off a little different than some of our recent videos, Myles the night before recording day hit his head on a metal pipe and was not feeling to well and couldn't drive because it really hurt. Then he remembered that way back when we did Underrated players we were still using the google hangout set-up, so Myles thought that

we could do a throw-back episode and we could record on google hangouts so that's what we ended up doing.

In this weeks show (as you know from the title of this video) we talked about Overrated Players. How it went was Quinn and Myles both chose 3 players out of the whole NFL that we thought were a little overrated. Myles based some of his players off whether they got paid too much or not and Quinn based his off how injuries affected there season. 

Another big addition, Miles Lane had his first ever appearance on Sports Babble as a official member of the Sports Babble team! In Miles segment (Lanes Lowdown) he decided to talk about some of the bigger WR in the NFL right now, he mentioned different players like, D.K. Metcalf, Chase Claypool, Tyreek Hill and some others. So it was great to have him on, and you guys will get used to seeing him more often. Anyways thanks for tuning in and we will see you Wednesday with the winner of the picks!

Hey, we haven't done one of these in a little while and because of that we thought it posed the perfect opportunity to giveaway another toy car! Hey Sports Babble Listeners. We hope you all had a fantastic Halloween. Aldo we apologize for not keeping the website updated this past week, we got caught up in school and were trying our best. The world series recently ended and we were thinking maybe doing an episode about that. As many of you know we had Miles Lane on the show last week, we did some talking with him and we were thinking about making him a permanent figure on the show! He has some great sports knowledge to bring to the table, we were thinking of giving him a 5-10 minute segment and we could call it "Lane's Lowdown", during the segment Miles could talk about anything sports related. Tell us what you think in the comments of our most recent YouTube video.

Episode 20: Guestapalooza Ft. Miles L

 

Episode 20 was a banger, we reintroduced one of our best guests going all the way back to Episode 7. Miles Lane, a long time viewer, was there to give his thoughts on the NFL, this is what the Guestapalooza was all about. We discussed our thoughts on the NFL continuing even with the recent COVID-19 outbreaks.

Another thing that we went over with Miles is how the Buccaneers have added Antonio Brown. He has not had much luck with previous teams throughout the years, but I guess the Bucs believe in him and they really want to make the Bucs into a 'God Squad" as Quinn said. One thing we considered is they need to figure out how to work as a team, despite the fact they are all great players.

Finally one last thing that I would like to add is we are sorry that we did not upload the website last week. It has also come to our attentions that the highlights that have been added to the recent updates were not accessible and so we are working on this. Also make sure too keep an eye in the website for more NFL game picks to win a car. Episode 19: NFL COVID-19 Issuies

 

(In honor of breast cancer awareness month Myles chose to use his pink microphone) 

Episode 19 of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn is out! We had a great Sports Babble episode this week, including when Myles and Noah pulled a prank on Quinn! Yes, you read correctly, Myles & Noah pulled a prank on Quinn, it all started when Myles & Quinn made a bet, the bet was if Myles did not score in our soccer game Quinn got to rip duct tape off his face on camera! Quinn ended up winning the bet but that was when he realized it was all set up, but you are going to have to watch the show to see what happened next and believe me it's worth it. 

On this weeks episode we decided to talk about how COVID-19 is affecting teams and how it will affect the NFL long term. We started by talking about how some recent NFL games have been postponed or canceled. We also went on to talk about how the Patriots & Titans teams have been majorly affected, first off the Tennessee Titans have had 20+ positive cases of COVID-19. After that we talked about the Patriots having a similar issue but with less but more important players, like Cam Newton & Stephon Gilmore. Our main thought to prevent COVID-19 was the NFL going into a bubble. Going into a bubble would prevent NFL COVID-19 cases by going up significantly, and that could keep the NFL going strong.

Quinn & Myles are still waiting until the day they both get the trivia question right, Noah keeps them thinking with a tough one this week too. Hello Sports Babble listeners. Unfortunately we are not posting this week, we just didn't get around to it and had some things going on. Don't worry though we are still giving away the Ferrari and the pick results will still be posted but it will all be on here. 

After a strong post season performance last year the Texans were looking like they could do it all! Deshaun Watson was playing some of the best football he has ever played, Deandre Hopkins was considered the #1 WR in the league, and that defense wasn't planning on slowing down for anything. So what's Changed?  It doesn't seem like Deshaun Watson is doing terrible, 300 yds and 2 tds is great! Their running game wasn't terrible either 16 carries for 64 yds by David Johnson could be worse. But on the other hand Dalvin Cook rushed for 130 yds and 2 tds, so whatever the Texans did the Vikings just seemed to do better. Hopefully we see a different Texans team in week 5 if not they have some things to figure out.

Episode 18: NFL Injuries

Week 3 Picks

We're Giving Away A Ferrari!

  

 We had some pretty crazy games in week 2 of the NFL. One of those games was the Chargers @ Chiefs. Although no one really expected much of the chargers this year, they surprised us in this game they played the former Super Bowl champs. After the Chargers starting QB, Tyrod Taylor got injured, the Chargers had no choice but to put in their first round pick, Justin Herbert. For Justin Herbert, this is one of the best rookie starts you could have. Justin Herbert threw for 311 yards and a touchdown, not mention his one rushing touchdown too! In the end, they did unfortunately lose but they did manage to bring it to overtime against the Chiefs! There was also a great performance by the Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker. Kind of weird but its true, Harrison Butker kicked 3 field goals and 2 of them were 58yds so you could say he did pretty good. In the end the Chiefs won 23-20  but the Chargers put up a good fight.

This week in local Sports Governor Scott has opened stage 3 in sports meaning that we are now able to have games which is huge for all the players. In other big news, we are stating that if you would like to win a 1987 Ferrari F40 then you should probably keep your eyes out for the week 4 game picks, because who ever gets the most games right will win the car!

Episode 17: NFL Week 2 Babble

 

In Episode 17 of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn, we did a pre game-style show where we discussed what was going to happen in 2 different games (Patriots @ Seahawks and Giants @ Bears.) Overall, the patriots had a pretty solid first game with their new QB Cam Newton rushing for 2 TD's, but struggling with the passing game. I think that first game was obvious though considering the dolphins aren't a very good team. We all chose the Seahawks to win against the patriots. Myles said they would win 23-14 Quinn said 27-14 and Noah said 28-20, so we all guessed the right winner, just the wrong scores. 

In week 1, the Giants had a pretty rough start with Saquon Barkley rushing for less yards then Ben Roethlisberger! In week 2 against the Bears, the Giants fumbled, threw an interception in the first half, and scored no points until the second half. They managed to bring it back together in the second half but still ended up losing 17-13. In the end, as predicted, the giants lost. Myles Predicted 46-3 Bears, Quinn said 17-10 Bears and Noah said 20-13 Bears. 

We had some big injuries in the league so far and some of them will affect the teams in a major way. The Giants star RB Saquon Barkley tore his ACL and will be out the rest of the season! The Panthers RB, Christain McCaffrey also got hurt, injuring his right ankle in the beginning of the 4th quarter. There were also many other injuries including Nick Bosa, Jimmy Garoppolo, Raheem Mostert, Davante Adams, Drew Lock, Courtland Sutton and more. Hope for A quick recovery for all of them!

Hello Sports Babble fans! Since we were not able to post this week we decided to do something that doesn't involve both Quinn and Myles....a behind the scenes time lapse showing what we do to set up the studio and what it looks like to us! Also a little of topic but NFL had some more games yesterday but since there is still a Monday night game we are going to wait until Wednesday to post the week 1 NFL standings. And last but not least, we started a fantasy football league with some friends so also let us know in the comments of our YouTube videos if you want us to update you with that. Chiefs Vs. Texans Week 1 Recap

 Attention Sports Babble fans, after many long months without football it is finally back! The NFL had it's first game on Thursday, September 10th and boy, was it a fun one to watch! Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs faced off against Deshaun Watson and the Texans. Both teams went at it for 60 minutes and, as an end result, the Chiefs came out on top with a final score of 34 - 20. One player really stood out though, and that was Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the rookie sensation RB for the Chiefs. He recorded 138 yards and a touchdown. And now over to the Texans side of things, Deshaun Watson threw for 253 yards 1 TD and 1 Int. Almost half of Deshaun Watson's passing yards came from passes to Will Fuller who has 112 and 8 receptions.

NFL Week 1 Update

Hello Sports Babble Fans!

We are doing another update for you guys and wow, is there some stuff coming up in the sports industry! As we explained in the latest Sports Babble, the NFL is making its way back in to the sports community, and we would like if you were to give your thoughts on the teams that will take their first victory in week 1!?  But the question really is what precautions are they taking to ensure the players safety?  For instance, steps that we are doing for this years PAML Soccer team are pretty straight forward...we have to keep our safe distance and take mask breaks at a reasonable distance so everyone stays healthy. With all that said, will the NFL be the same or even close what we're used to?

Episode 16: 2021 NFL Team Tier List

 

After some time away, Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn is back and better than ever. In episode 16 we reveal our first ever NFL team tier list. So all the tiers in order go S, A, B, C, D going from best to worst. And at the very bottom of this description there will be a  picture of Quinn & Myles's Final tier list with all 32 teams.

In this episode we also introduce a new setup, which happens to be on an actual NFL Field in Quinn's room!

Fishing @ the Ditch Pickle Classic

 Don't get me wrong this was a great episode, but boy was it a long one! Episode 16 is coming in at over a hour and a half long, so ya you could say it was a bit on the longer side. Also to all of The Real Pigskin fans (If your not aware of the real pigskin its the company that brings together Sports Babble and Bacon Broz) there is now an Instagram account that posts daily that you can follow @therealpigskin.

We also introduce a brand new segment to Sports Babble called Local Sports, this segment is from our very own EP (Executive Producer) Noah. How this segment works is every week on the show Noah will talk about local sports in our area. In this episode Noah talks about winter sports and what that may look like. He also talks about the 2020 Ditch Pickle Classic fly fishing tournament, which took place on Lake Champlain at the end of August.

4th of July Update

After having some trouble in the past two weeks we think we have mastered the YouTube situation. We have also started quite the tradition how it works is, if one of us gets the trivia question wrong and the other gets its right the person that gets it right gets to slap the other person on the head while their wearing the plastic patriots helmet. But if we both get it right our executive producer gets slapped.

In episode 10 of Sports Babble with Myles & Quinn we celebrate in honor of this being our 10th episode! To celebrate we decide to do our recording in this weeks episode in the same area.
